NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The one man stopping crews from beginning a new golf course in New Orleans City Park is now out of a cypress tree slated to be cut down.
The man, identified as Jonathan Lloyd Boover, has been in the tree near Harrison Circle alone for a week, protesting the park's plans to add a new golf course.
A woman who was with him came down last Tuesday because police threatened to arrest her.
Boover fell out of the tree Tuesday morning and complained that he had hurt his ankle. He was taken to LSU Interim Hospital by ambulance along with two sheriff's deputies.
