Partially clothed man found shot to death on Montegut Street

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting in the Florida neighborhood.
The victim was found Friday around noon in a vacant lot in the 2400 block of Montegut Street. The Orleans Parish coroner identified him as 20-year-old Marcel Coleman.
Officers responding to a call of a man down found the unresponsive victim clothed in only his underwear and a shirt with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are investigating to determine a motive in the incident.
