BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - It's National Child Passenger Safety Week and Louisiana State Police want to remind parents that nationally certified technicians from across Louisiana are ready to conduct seat inspections ensuring the proper installation of your child's safety seat.
Throughout the week, child passenger safety checkup events will be held across numerous parishes providing parents and caregivers with life-saving information regarding the appropriate vehicle installation and best seat for each child's age, weight, and height.
There is never a cost for the child seat installations/inspections, however, parents should anticipate approximately 30 minutes of inspection time per seat.
Child safety seats including booster seats offer the best protection for children in the event of a crash.
