NOPD: Man wanted for armed robbery in French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police are searching for a man wanted for an armed robbery that took place in the French Quarter. The incident occurred Wednesday August 26, 2015 in the 1200 block of North Rampart Street.

According to police, the 19-year-old victim told investigators that he met the suspect around 3:50 a.m. on Bourbon Street and offered to give him a ride home. As the two were in the car, the suspect pulled out a gun and ordered the victim to drive to the intersection of Pauger and North Tonti Street. While in the 1200 block of North Rampart, the suspect attacked the victim and stole his watch, prior to running away.

Police say that the victim was not seriously injured during the incident.
