CBD armed robbery suspect captured on video

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who wanted in connection with a Sept. 20 armed robbery in the CBD.

The incident took place at about 1:40 a.m. in the 800 block of Baronne Street.

Police said the victim was walking in the area when she was approached by an armed suspect on a bicycle who demanded her purse.  The victim handed over her purse and the suspect rode away.

The suspect was described as a black male with a slim build, low haircut and initially wearing a dark visor, dark T-shirt, shorts, white socks and boots. At some point in the video, the suspect removes the hat from his head.

Eighth District Detectives are investigating the incident and can be contacted at 658-6080.
