NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is making progress in the investigation into the August 20 armed robbery at Patois.

Masked gunmen stormed the Uptown restaurant around 11 p.m. August 20, robbing staff and patrons inside. It was the first in a series of three similar Uptown business robberies in a two month span.

FOX 8 obtained a police report from the Patois armed robbery. It shows that investigators tracked one of the cell phones stolen in the robbery to the intersection of Milan and S. Robertson streets in the Milan neighborhood.

The report said that a stolen vehicle was also found at the location. Inside the vehicle, detectives said they found stolen property that was taken during the Patois robbery.

On September 24, Atchafalaya Restaurant was robbed in a similar manner. Monkey Hill Bar was robbed on September 28.

The investigation is ongoing. Police have not yet said if they believe the three robberies are related. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
