NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Church's Chicken is leaking.

Grease is oozing from from the Church's Chicken in the 4300 block of St. Claude Avenue.

Residents nearby have complained that the grease has leaked from the fast food chain, flowing across the parking lot and into the streets.

The grease is leaking from a grease trap near the rear of the store, according to employees at Church's Chicken. The Department of Environmental Quality has given the store ten days to clean the mess.

Nearby resident Douglas Marshall claims that the grease has been on the streets for nearly two weeks. Marshall says he has been putting "kitty-litter" on the grease to soak up the leakage.
