NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - On Wednesday the Orleans inspector general and the independent police monitor signed an agreement separating the two offices.
The agreement retains the Independent Police Monitor and providing a dedicated funding stream of .16 percent of the General Fund to the IPM. Both parties have agreed to support a charter change to codify the agreement.
The signing took place in the office of Councilmember Jared Brossett.
