Ruston Police Department report that 8-year-old Dakota Knox was found safe in Ouachita Parish. Authorities continue the search for the child’s suspected abductor, 23-year-old Sommer Ann Hattaway.
State Police issued an Amber Alert Sunday after the child was suspected to be abducted in Louisiana.
Knox was reported missing around 7:25 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the Lincoln Motel in Ruston, La. Police say he was asleep in the rear seat of a car that was stolen from the motel. The car, a black 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with Louisiana license plate ZAW146, is believed to have been stolen by Hattaway.
Hattaway is described as a white woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is about 5'2" tall and weighs about 115 lbs.
