NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Three suspects are in police custody after allegedly kicking down a door and attempting to rob the people inside at gunpoint.

Investigators announced Thursday that NOPD arrested 17-year-old Kadeem Surtain, 18-year-old Bernisha Reddix and 24-year-old Donelle McFadden in connection with an attempted armed robbery in New Orleans East.

The incident took place on Oct. 24 in the 7900 block of Arcadia Lane. According to police, the suspects and victims were inside of the location when they got into an altercation. The suspects left, but returned moments later and kicked down the back door.

Police say Surtain pointed a pistol at one of the victims and demanded money. When the victim told the suspects he did not have any money, all three suspects fled the scene.

Surtain, Reddix and McFadden were all booked for Attempted Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery with a Firearm and Principal to Attempted Armed Robbery.
