THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - A Thibodaux woman allegedly got drunk, injured a child and resisted arrest by force, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Park Drive on Wednesday at 2:45 a.m. after receiving calls that Patricia Gaudet, 43, was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Deputies spoke to Gaudet and gave her a warning.

Deputies returned to the residence on Thursday at 12:30 a.m. after receiving another call alleging Gaudet was drunk and causing a disturbance at the residence where several people were trying to sleep. They also discovered she injured a child when she fell out of a chair. The child was treated by EMT as a precaution.

Gaudet continued to cause a disturbance and was eventually arrested, deputies said.

She was taken to Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux and booked with disturbing the peace, resisting an officer with force of violence and cruelty to a juvenile. Her bond is set at $6,500.
