Three transgendered men assault 7th Ward man in attempted armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Three suspects described as transgendered assaulted a man early Monday morning near the 7th Ward during an attempted armed robbery, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The 33-year-old man was walking in the 1700 block of Bayou Road when he was approached by three suspects.

One of the suspects asked the victim for $2. When he told the suspect he did not have any money, the second suspect went behind the victim and began stabbing him in the back.

The victim fled to the nearby Connoco gas station and called police.

The first suspect was wearing a turquoise dress, heels and a wig. The second suspect was wearing a white T-Shirt and a long back weave. There was no description given for the third suspect. The three assailants were all described as transgender.
