47-year-old man killed in Central City shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police seek two persons of interest as they investigate the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man in Central City.

If happened Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Liberty Street. Police responding to a call of a man shot found the victim on the sidewalk. He had been hit multiple times.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died. His identity is not being released pending notification of family members.

Investigators are looking for two men who may have critical information about the murder. The individuals are not suspects at this time. But detectives would like to speak to them about the case.
