NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a man wanted for a Monday armed robbery in the Seventh Ward.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. in the 1700 block of Marais Street. Investigators said one victim was standing outside of his silver 2008 Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate VOH832 when a man walked up, pulled a gun and demanded the victim's wallet. The attacker then ordered the second victim from the front passenger seat of the vehicle and demanded his wallet and car keys. The victims complied and the attacker drove away on Marais Street toward Elysian Fields Avenue.

Police released a composite image of what they believe the armed robber looks like. Anyone who has information about the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.
