JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Crime cameras are now watching over some Terrytown neighborhoods.

Jefferson Parish says the cameras have been installed in undisclosed locations thanks to Councilman Ricky Templet and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. Officials say the cameras are funded with money from Council District 1.

"These cameras will have a significant impact on crime prevention and will provide law enforcement with an additional resource for policing," Councilman Ricky Templet said.  "The safety of our residents is our priority.  These cameras will give our law enforcement officers an extra set of eyes to help protect and serve the citizens of Council District 1."
