Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office investigates fatal crash

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -- - A crash claimed a driver's life on McArthur Drive near Black Mud Road in Satsuma.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control. The person was ejected from the vehicle and thrown into a wooded area.
Deputies won't release the driver's name until they notify family members.
