NOPD investigates two carjacking related incidents

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating two Monday carjacking incidents.
The first incident occurred at 8:57 a.m. near the intersection of Morrison Road and Read Boulevard.
A 23 year-old man was approached by an armed man who produced a weapon and forced the victim to give up his vehicle.
There was no description of the suspect provided.
The second incident occurred at 12:55 p.m. in the 1300 block of Tupelo Street.
A 64-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were getting into their car when they saw the suspect in the back seat.
A struggled ensued between the victims and the suspect as he attempted to force them from the vehicle. The suspect was arrested a short time later in the 1100 block of Tupelo.
Police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile.
