Police search for man wanted for robbing a St. Claude McDonald's

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating and identifying an unknown black male suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at 2609 St. Claude Avenue.

On January 15, 2016, at, an armed suspect entered the McDonald's Restaurant at approximately 5:30 p.m., and demanded money from the register. When the cashier opened the register and began to comply the suspect reached across the counter, took the cash from the cash drawer and placed the stolen cash in a white plastic bag. The suspect then fled out the store.

The suspect was described as a black male, in his 30s, dark complexion, about 5'7" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hat, black shirt and camouflage pants.

Once apprehended, the suspect will be booked with Armed Robbery.
