KENNER, LA (WVUE) - A routine traffic stop led police to over $2,000 worth of marijuana in Jefferson Parish.
According to police, 26-year-old Alfredo Manzanares was stopped for illegal window tint on Loyola Drive, but police found much more than they expected in his car.
During the stop, officers learned Manzanares, a Metairie resident, was driving with a suspended license and had outstanding traffic attachments from Jefferson Parish.
Officers also found 1.6 lbs. of marijuana in the car along with a scale. Police say the confiscated drug has a street value of $2,100.
Officers booked Manzaneres into the Jefferson Parish Jail with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal window tent and driving with a suspended driver's license.
