ST. LANDRY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Law enforcement officers across Acadiana are joining forces to take down a local gang. Now, their message is being broadcast nationwide.

Capt. Clay Higgins, better known as "The Cajun John Wayne," and our partners at KATC joined forces to put out this Crime Stoppers video calling for the arrest of all remaining members of the Gremlins Gang.

"I'm hopeful that the Acadiana community can make a strong stand, and by extension, perhaps the country, will hear this message and make a strong, unified stand," Higgins said. "When a community comes together and draws a bold line in the sand and says we're not going to tolerate that kind of violence in our area."

Mobile users can watch the video here.

According to KATC, the Abbeville Police Department began their investigation into the Gremlins Gang about a year-and-a-half ago. Since then, ten accused gang members have been arrested while seven more remain at-large.

Alleged members of the Gremlins Gang have been accused of murder, theft, drug related crimes and more. For a full list of the alleged gang members, visit KATC's website.
