PEARL RIVER COUNTY, MS (WVUE) - A joint investigation into felony theft resulted in the arrest of 39-year-old Carey Samuel Gendron on March 14.
The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office and Pearl River County detectives investigated a theft that occurred on Willa Villa Drive in Bogalusa and a business burglary that occurred in the Cross Roads, Miss. area. Detectives say they were able to identify Gendron from business security camera footage and from a victim who recognized Gendron's vehicle from the video.
Detectives from both agencies went to Gendron's Mississippi residence and arrested him. While there, detectives searched a wooded area behind the residence and recovered merchandise stolen in the Mississippi business burglary.
Gendron was booked into the Pearl River County Jail on burglary charges. He will be extradited to Washington Parish and will be booked into the Washington Parish Jail on felony theft charges.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and Gendron could face additional charges. Gendron is a convicted felon and has a history of arrests dating back to March 2010.
