NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police make quick arrests in New Orleans East armed robbery.

It happened Tuesday night in the 7500 block of Martin Drive.

The victim told police that two masked men approached him with a gun and stole his phone, keys and credit cards.

Police say they got a call that the car used in the robbery was a blue Dodge Challenger with no headlights on.

Police say two officers spotted a car matching the description a short time later in the 6500 block of Morrison Road.  The detectives followed the Challenger and let other responding officers know about the vehicle's location.
The driver attempted to elude detectives but one of the officers responding was able to catch up to the car.

Police say three people in the car jumped out and took off running.
They eventually caught up with three suspects and arrested the driver, Quave Berry, 17, and passengers Frederick Badon, 21, and
Kenneth Lewis, 17,.
Police say Badon had the victim's property on him when he was searched.
Detectives learned that the Dodge Challenger was stolen from the Sixth District, and NOPD's Crime Lab recovered a Rock Island 1911 handgun with a full magazine and a round in the chamber from the car's front passenger side floorboard.
