NOPD releases video of East Carrollton armed robbery suspect

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating an armed robbery suspect.

On April 27 at about 9:30 p.m., an unknown black male approached the two victims at the intersection of Cherokee and Freret streets. The subject produced a small semi-automatic pistol and ordered the victims to throw down their belongings. After they complied, the gunman ordered them to turn around and run away. He then picked up their property and fled in an unknown direction.

The gunman was described as being in his 20s and 5'9" to 5'10" tall with a thin build. He wore a black hoodie and held a dark rag or part of the hoodie over his mouth.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to notify Second District detectives at (504) 658-6020.
