NOPD searches for Algiers gas station robbery suspect

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police search for a man who they say is responsible for robbing an Algiers gas station.

It happened on May 7, at approximately 11:46 pm. Police day the unknown man entered the Shell Gas Station in the 4600 block of General Degaulle Drive. They say he then pulled a gun on the cashier and demanded money from the register.

The cashier complied and police say the man then took the money and other items from the store, before running away.

The suspect is a black male with a dark complexion and a medium build. He is approximately 5'7"- 5'10" tall and weighs 180-200 pounds.
