NOPD investigating Uptown armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating an early Monday morning Uptown armed robbery.

The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. in the 3200 block of Vincennes Place, according to initial police reports.

The victim, a 44-year-old man, was walking when he was approached by three suspects described as black men. all wearing hooded sweatshirts on their heads.

One of the suspects pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the victim.

The victim gave the suspects his backpack and iPhone.

The subjects fled on South Salcedo towards Earhart Boulevard.
