First responders in N.O. East found body in burning vehicle

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans firefighters along with New Orleans police found a body early Sunday morning after putting out a vehicle fire in New Orleans East.
It happened around 4:15 a.m. at the intersection of Flite Court and Airway Street.
Authorities said they found the vehicle parked on the side of the road fully engulfed in flames.
After extinguishing the fire, investigators said they noticed a body in the front passenger seat.
The New Orleans Fire Department believes arson is the suspected cause of the fire.
The incident is now being investigated by the New Orleans Police Department.
The body has yet to be identified.
