NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The trial begins today for a man once considered the most dangerous criminal in New Orleans.
Jury selection will begin in the racketeering and conspiracy case of Telly Hankton.
Hankton is accused of running a violent gang responsible for at least three murders.
Hankton and a dozen others were indicted on federal charges more than three years ago.
Prosecutors said they will not seek the death penalty for Hankton.
Hankton is already in prison serving a life sentence for murder.
