NOPD searching for suspects in a Monday armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police investigators are looking for the public's help in identifying and locating two suspects in a recent armed robbery.

On Tuesday, around 3:45 a.m., two women were approached by a suspect, described as a black man, outside Le Bon Temps Roule bar in the 4800 block of Magazine Street.

The suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victims and demanded their property. They complied, turning over their cellphones and purses.

The suspect then ran to the 4700 block of Magazine Street and jumped into a waiting vehicle. It is described as a silver, older model Nissan Altima with a spoiler on the trunk and an unknown license plate.

The car, which was being driven by an unidentified man, fled on Magazine Street toward Napoleon Avenue.

The suspect is described as 5-feet-6-inches tall with an average build and a shaved head. He was wearing a white T-Shirt and camouflage pants.
