NOPD identifies shooting suspect

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police have named a suspect in a shooting along the North I-10 Service Road.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Dantrell "Head" McZeal, 25, in connection with a shooting that occurred last Tuesday (August 9, 2016) in the 12100 block of North I-10 Service Road.
Around 9:30 p.m., police believe, McZeal followed the victim through the Windrun apartment complex and shot at the victim several times, striking the victim in the left thigh.
McZeal was seen fleeing the area in a late model white Chevrolet Malibu with black headlight covers.
McZeal is known to frequent the Windrun apartment complex and the Chenault Creek apartment complex. He also goes by the nickname "Head" and is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dantrell "Head" McZeal is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
