HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) - Hammond Police need the public's help finding a man they say robbed a convenience store early Tuesday morning at 3175 Highway 190 West.

When officers got to Exxon on the Run store, they were told a man wearing a black t-shirt, grey jogging sweatpants, white shoes, sunglasses, and a black hat with a red Superman symbol and a blue bill had entered the store around 12:30 a.m. pretending to be a customer.

Investigators say the man waited for the other customers to leave, then approached the clerk and said he had a gun and demanded money from the cash register. The employee complied and the man left. No one was hurt.

If anyone has information about the case they're urged to call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa's anonymous tip line at 1-800-554-5245 (JAIL) or the Hammond Police Department.
