NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Inclement weather that moved through the area, Saturday afternoon left some areas on the West Bank flooded and thousands without power.

According to an Entergy spokesperson, as of around 7 p.m. around 5,000 customers in the Uptown area of New Orleans and 1,000 in Jefferson Parish lost power due to stormy weather.

The weather also resulted in some flooding in areas of Westwego, Nine Mile Point and Bridge City, according to Jefferson Parish Emergency Management officials.
