Man found dead in Terrytown home

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead.
Around 8:00 p.m on Saturday night officers responded to a call of someone shot at 735 Whitney Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 60-year-old Raymond Laurent with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Officials say Laurent's wife returned home around 8:00 p.m. and found him on the sofa in the living room.
There were no signs of forced entry. No further information is currently available on a motive or possible suspects.
