NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department says that a teen was arrested shortly after robbing a gas station at knife point.
According to police, the juvenile male walked into the Shell gas station in the 3400 block of Esplanade Avenue just after 6 p.m. Saturday and walked to the back of the store and put on a ski mask. He then approached the cashier while armed with a knife and demanded money and cigarettes.
The cashier complied and the suspect fled the store with $365 and 20 boxes of cigarettes.
Police say one of the witnesses followed the juvenile to a home where he was arrested.
The name of the suspect has not been released because he is a juvenile.
