Truck hits pole, crashes into Bayou St. John resulting in power outage

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - More than 1400 people were without power after an accident in the Fairgrounds neighborhood Saturday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m., an older model blue truck was traveling on Moss Street near Parkview Place when it hit a pole and went into Bayou St. John.
According to police at the scene, all of the vehicle's occupants were able to make it out of the truck. There is no word if anyone involved was injured.
As a result of the crash, more than 1400 people lost power in the Fairgrounds neighborhood, according to Entergy's website. Power has since been restored to the area.
