NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police department is searching for two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery on Olive Street Thursday night.
Police say the robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of Olive St.
According to police, a 22-year-old man was walking on Olive St. towards South Carrollton Avenue when he was approached by two men.
The victim told police that one of the men stood in front of him, put a gun to his neck and demanded his belongings. They second suspect stood behind the victim and placed an object that was believed to be gun to his lower back.
Both of the suspects then snatched the victim's backpack and cell phone and fled towards South Carrollton Ave. and then in and unknown direction.
The first suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, about 25-years-old, tall with a thin build and long dreads.
The second suspect is described as a black male, about 19-20 years-old, with a medium height and build and shoulder length dreads.
During the investigation, detectives obtained surveillance images of the first suspect.
