(WVUE) - What we've learned from the Saints' current two-game win streak is that the early calls of a catastrophic 3-13 or 4-12 season are likely to be false. This team is not that, and they've shown improvement. In this regard, they're doing exactly what history has suggested they would. Even in seasons with slow starts. the Saints always find a way to battle back.
Inevitably though, there are bumps in the road back to prosperity that prevents them from completely turning things around. Kansas City has the potential to be that bump today. Unlike the Chargers, they likely won't gift-wrap fumbles late in the game. Unlike the Panthers, they won't be coming off a short week. In all areas the Chiefs are solid and at 3-2 are coming off a convincing win over the team that beat the Saints in week one.
If the Saints are able to win today they would've defeated a team that most would agree are better than the Saints. Should that be the case, it would likely be fair to believe this team can truly turn this season around.
