NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Abundant sunshine will continue for the next day or two. Temperatures will be warmer than normal with some areas near 80 on Thursday and Friday.
Big changes are still in store for the weekend as a strong cold front arrives on Friday night. Saturday will be sunny, windy and much colder with highs struggling to reach 60 degrees.
By Sunday morning, 30's will be possible north of the lake with 40's elsewhere. The chilly conditions stick around into Monday morning before a warming trend begins on Tuesday.
Another weak front is expected to approach the area on Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day. It will likely be a dry frontal passage but a few stray showers can't be ruled out. The holiday looks seasonable with highs around 70 and lows in the 40's and 50's.
