NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - People with guns start shooting in two parishes on the West Bank within hours of each other.

In Harvey, gunfire killed a man. In Algiers, gunfire injured one person near a car wash on Tullis Drive.

The condition of the Algiers victim is unknown. According to our partners at|The Times-Picayune, witnesses say they saw one man lying on the pavement next to car wash bays as NOPD officers investigated.

A couple hours before the Algiers incident, a female says she heard what sounded like gunshots as she ran away from the person suspected of killing the man she was with in Harvey. She says the gunman approached her and the victim, as they sat in a truck on Lac Couture Drive.

Investigators say the gunman ordered the female to get out of the vehicle during an argument with the man.
The victim died from a gunshot wound to the head.
