NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - One of four suspects wanted in a Nov. 17 kidnapping in the French Quarter surrendered to NOPD officers Friday.

Accompanied by her attorney, 31-year-old Jovanda Morris was arrested and booked into Central Lockup on a charge of aggravated kidnapping.

The victim reported that she was kidnapped and robbed by four females posing as an Uber driver and her passengers. She said that at 5:15 a.m., a four-door white vehicle approached her at the intersection of Conti and Dauphine streets and the driver lured the victim into the vehicle.

The women took the victim's cell phone and forced her to purchase items and withdraw money from ATMs. They also took the victim's credit cards and her Social Security card before releasing her.

Anyone with any information about the kidnapping or the other women in the car is asked to notify Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
