NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Saints have made a move to create more salary cap space.
A source confirmed to FOX 8 Sports that Terron Armstead restructured his contract by converting his roster bonus into a signing bonus. The move created $4 million in cap space for the Saints.
The Saints now have $9.9 in salary cap room. The contracts of Manti Te'o and Sterling Moore are not included in that number.
The Saints also have to have enough room to sign their draft class and possibly cornerback Malcolm Butler.
