NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A mother and her two sons, gunned down inside their Gentilly home, will be laid to rest Friday.
Family and friends will pay their respects to Monique Smith and her sons, Justin and Jumiryn, two weeks after they were killed inside their home.
New Orleans Police have yet to make an arrest in the case or name a suspect.
Smith's 12-year-old daughter was also shot when someone entered the home early one morning and started firing.
The little girl survived and according to her father, said she couldn't see who fired the shots.
Yesterday, mourners showed up at Rhodes Funeral Home for a visitation.
Friday, people will gather at New Hope Baptist Church for their funerals after a two-week fund raising effort to help pay for the services.
The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m.
A large crowd of family, co-workers of Monique Smith and the children's teachers, are expected to attend.
