(WVUE) - After a great weather weekend, a warm-up is in store.
Highs will reach near or above the 80-degree mark Monday and the rest of the week.
Overnight temperatures will be very mild. Lows are expected to generally be in the 60s on both sides Lake Pontchartrain.
A mix of sun and clouds is expected for Monday and Tuesday as a system moves by to the north of the area.
Rain should stay to the north.
Looking ahead to late this week and Easter Weekend, a summer-like pattern will take hold with a strong ridge of high pressure allowing for mostly dry skies and very warm conditions.
At this time, a pop-up shower or storm can't be ruled out, but the weekend does look dry and sunny for most.
