(WVUE) - A.J Klein

Three years/$15 million (fourth year is voidable)

Aggressive/Fast- Klein was trained to trust his eyes and when he makes a decision he goes full speed. There's very little hesitation in his game. This helps when diagnosing plays, he is able to close gaps quickly. In Oakland was a perfect example, when he ran down Derek Carr and forced a fumble. He has good sideline-to-sideline range.

Strength- Klein is not an easy player to block. His raw strength allows him to shed blocks with ease.

Over-Aggressive- While Klein doesn't waste anytime making his move, sometimes he simply guesses wrong. This is especially true in play action where he bites hard on play fakes leaving himself vulnerable to routes behind him. On run plays sometimes he aggression pushes him to the wrong gap, which can lead to big plays.

Final Analysis

Klein has learned from two of the game's best linebackers and looks ready for a premier role with the Saints. Bringing him aboard also hurts the depth of one of the Saints' biggest rivals.
