NOPD invites public to have 'Coffee with Cops'

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department invites residents and visitors to have a free cup of coffee with officers on Saturday morning.

Six McDonald's restaurant locations will host the event from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Those who attend will have an opportunity to meet their neighborhood patrol officers and get a free cup of coffee. The program started in June 2016.

The locations are:
•    3025 Elysian Fields Ave.
•    1918 N. Broad Street
•    2757 Canal Street
•    3443 S. Carrollton Ave.
•    711 Canal Street
•    2856 S. Claiborne Ave.

This is the seventh 'Coffee with Cops' event. The NOPD says hundreds of community members have interacted with officers and have learned new ways to be more active in their neighborhoods.
