(WVUE) - After a cool start to Monday, temperatures will quickly warm into the upper 70s this afternoon with ample sunshine.
Clear skies stick around overnight and allow for one more relatively cool morning before the muggy weather returns.
Plan for wake-up temperatures in the low 50s on the north shore and upper 50s on the south shore.
Monday-Wednesday will be dry with temperatures climbing each day and moisture gradually returning to the area.
On Thursday, morning rain and a couple of storms are possible as a front sneaks by just to our north. There won't be much relief from the heat.
Heading into the first Jazz Fest weekend, plan for hot and humid conditions. Expect to stay mostly dry Friday and Saturday, then there will be an approaching frontal system on Sunday.
At this time, it looks to bring evening and overnight rain, but stay tuned for any changes as the weekend gets closer.
