(WVUE) - Expect plenty of sun Tuesday with highs in the low 80s. Overnight, moisture will increase as lows only drop to the low to mid-60s. Patchy fog will be possible Wednesday morning.
Cloud cover will increase Wednesday as a system approaches the area. Rain is likely to fall during the overnight hours, so most will be unaffected.
There is a Marginal Risk for a strong storm or two mainly north of Lake Pontchartrain. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s to close out the week.
A southerly breeze will begin to crank up on Friday evening, and winds could be strong over the weekend.
Winds could be strong enough to cause some interference with outdoor activities. Stay tuned for possible advisories or warnings later this week regarding the wind.
The area could see a few stray storms on Saturday, but the best chance for widespread storms this week will come on Sunday.
There is the possibility of severe weather with this system, but it is still many days away.
