Film in Upper 9th Ward will simulate gunfire, close roads

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice for residents living in the Upper 9th Ward.

A production company will film exterior scenes on the 1500 block of Patterson Drive Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

According to the notice, the sequence being filmed will include simulated special effects and gunfire.

The production will also require a lane closure on North Claiborne Avenue at the Robertson Street Overpass, and a full road closure on the 1500-1600 Blocks of St. Ferdinand Street, according to the notice.

Law enforcement officers will be on site to ensure public safety and to help facilitate the work.
