(WVUE) - A combined three-touchdown performance from LSU running backs Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams proved key for the Tigers in a 30-10 road victory over Tennessee Saturday night.

Despite the 20-point win for LSU, the offense got off to a slow start scoring only three points in the first quarter that came courtesy of a 30-yard field goal by Connor Culp.

The offense picked up in the second quarter as Darrel Williams scored his first of two touchdowns on the night breaking a 3-3 tie. Quarterback Danny Etling got in on the action with a 13-yard run with 2:08 left in the first half.

Tennessee would answer with a touchdown pass late in the first half from Jarrett Guarantano to Marquez Callaway to pull within seven

In the second half, the Tiger defense held the Volunteer offense scoreless while the offense continued to flex its muscle. Williams scored his second touchdown of the night and a Derrius Guice added one last score giving LSU the 20-point advantage en route to the victory.

Saturday's game was the final road test for the Tigers who wrap up their season Saturday against Texas A&M.
