(WVUE) - Welcome in to Juan's World where I believe it's important to give credit where credit's due. And Robert Meachem is due some credit for the Saints latest comeback win over Washington on Sunday.
How else can you explain this happening to the Washington again? I mean, Meachem was an honorary captain for Sunday's game. He led the Who Dat cheer and did it pretty well. This is the second time that Meachem has been on the Saints sideline during a game this season and for the second time, the team has won. So I'm saying that they should allow him there for every remaining home game because, it can't hurt.
Remember back in 2009 when the Saints went into Washington and stole a win? That game was highlighted by Meachem's strip and score. Today, the teams comeback was just as impressive as eight years ago. All they did was put 15-points on the board in less than three minutes to push the game into overtime, at which time, the momentum had shifted.
Prior to that happening, a number of Saints fans had begun thinking about what they had to do after the game, so they left early. I totally get it but my guess is, this is the last time they leave a Saints game before the final whistle.
This team is cut from a different kind of cloth. It's the kind of cloth that's got some age to it. It's eight year old fabric that Meachem knows the feel of very well. And he can look at this edition of the Saints and say, this cloth feels the same. Who are we to argue with that logic?
Juan's World, Juan's World...Excellent!!!
