NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Every year, the All State Sugar Bowl in New Orleans features two of the best teams in college football and 2018 will be no different as the game will be a matchup of the two previous national champions. The game, which will kick off Jan. 1 in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, will feature the No. 1 Clemson Tigers, who are the defending National Champions and the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide, who claimed the title in the 2015-16 season.
It will also be the third-consecutive year that the two teams have faced each other in the postseason.
The winner of the contest moves on to face the winner of the Rose Bowl, which has No. 2 Georgia facing No. 3 Oklahoma, in the national title game, scheduled for Monday Jan. 8 in Atlanta, GA.
